Before you begin your first order, it's advisable to take a brief look at the specifics of our service - to make sure that you know exactly what you'll be getting.  Please read below for detailed information.

18 x 24 Posters

• Actual image area is 17" x 23", we include a 1/2" white margin.
• Images are proportionately scaled and rotated to fit this image area - do not include 1/2" margin in your artwork.
• Posters are printed on 80# coated cover (similar to the thickness of a greeting card).
• Do not include crop marks, color bars, etc. - all images are printed in their entirety.
• Lamination option is 1.5 mil on both sides and is a high gloss.

24 x 36 Posters

• Actual image area is 23" x 35", we include a 1/2" white margin.
• Images are proportionately scaled and rotated to fit this image are - do not include 1/2" margin in your artwork.
• Posters are printed on 46# Bond (similar to the thickness of a greeting card).
• Do not include crop marks, color bars, etc. - all images are printed in their entirety.
• DO NOT USE HEAT LAMINATION - ink is heat sensitive and your poster will be destroyed.

Accepted Files

We accept a wide range of file types, but please make sure they follow a few guidelines:

• Is one of the following types: JPG, PDF, EPS, TIF, PNG, BMP
• If you submit a PDF, please make sure to split up pages into single page PDF files
• We can accept RGB files, but it's suggested to convert your files to CMYK prior to ordering to see any color shifts that may occur.

Suggested File Sizes

We suggest a minimum of 150 PPI (DPI) at 100% size.  This equates to roughly 2400 x 3500 pixels for the 18 x 24 size and 3600 x 5400 pixels for the 24 x 36 size.  Please read our page on Checking File Resolution for a tutorial on this very subject.  If all else fails, please contact us.

Branded and Unbranded

We offer a discounted poster that sports our logo on the back.  This is our "Branded" version and is only available in the 18 x 24 size.  The "Unbranded" 18 x 24 does not have a logo on the back, but it does have two lines of text: an order number and the filename of the file being printed.

The 24 x 36 is completely blank on the back.

Printing With Bleed

We currently do no offer printing with bleed on Shortrunposters.com, however you can visit our sister site: Xeikonprints.com where we offer printing with bleed, various sizes and different products.
