Sometimes uploading 30 or 40 different images one at a time can get quite tedious. Well, there is a way around this to speed up ordering cheap poster printing from Shortrunposters.com.
As well as .jpg, .tif, .eps, .pdf and others, we also accept .sit and .zip files. These last two are called "archive" files - a sort of "suitcase" file so you can collect multiple files and package them into one. Here's some general information on file archives from wikipedia.org. To make an archive, you may need some special software. If you are using an Apple computer running Mac OS X, then your in luck - a file archive utility is already built in and easily accessible.  | Depending on what version of Mac OS X you are using, the menu will be different. The first step is to create a folder on your desktop and move all the images you want to upload into that one folder. Once you have done that, simply right click (or control click) to bring up the menu that you see to the left. Scroll down and select "Compress "my archive"". This will activate the computer to make the archive. When it's done, there will be a new file on your desktop, named the same as your folde, but with the addition of ".zip" suffix. On some versions of Mac OS X, it will have the menu item listed as "Create Archive". |
If you are on a PC, check out this free ZIP utility here. Instructions on how to use the program are on the website. Once you have the archive file, you can upload the file as you would normally. In the quantity field, it is important that you type in the TOTAL quantity of posters for all the images that you uploaded. For instance, if you have 10 images and you want 10 posters of each, then type in 100. If you have different quantities for different images, type in the total quantity in the quantity field and then contact us with detailed instructions on quantities per image.
